Just a heads up to people who are considering mixing this LED Bulb with standard tungsten sources - they are not the same color temperature.
I wanted to use this bulb in my home theater as a dimmable overhead light. When I fired it up, the bulb was very blue when compared to the other tungsten lights in the room. I estimate the color temp. is around 3500K. And almost all the tungsten sources sit between 2900 - 3200K. There's enough of a difference that it is very noticable when placed side-by-side.
I thought that the "warm white" designation listed on the website would categorize it with the standard tungsten color temperature - same as warm white CFLs, but this is not the case. And even the technical specs state the bulb should provide 3000K white but it is far bluer than that.
That being said it it doing a great job for me out on the patio where there are no other sources to compare it to.

I purchased the daylight white bulb a few months back and couldn't be more pleased with it. Excellent light output on my desk along with staying very cool to the touch (Even after extended amounts of time left on). No loss in output color or brightness with continual use everyday. Ive had many people ask me where I got the bulb so naturally I referred them to here. The price is slightly staggering at first, but I'm sure with time, that will decrease as well. Plus the two year warranty is a nice safety net. Keep up the good work fellas.

Excellent Light and Dimmable!

After trying LED bulb after LED bulb, this is the only one I found that will almost properly dim in my lamp. The lamp in question is touch sensitive, with three settings excluding off. All other bulbs either wouldn't dim, would burn out, or would flicker/buzz.
The Hydralux bulb makes no noise at any time, and never flickers. The only flaw in operation is that for some reason the high setting on the lamp illuminates the bulb at a lower setting than the low (as in Off-Low-High-Lowest lighting sequence rather than the Off-Low-Medium-High with a standard incandescent). The bulb never gets anything past warm, and the cool blue light is rather nice to read a book by. Excellent item!

I bought the daylight white version. The bulb stays amazingly cool - getting only a little warm after I had it on for about 7 hours. The light output was pretty close to the 25W incandescent bulb that I was replacing in a table lamp I was using. SO much less heat and just the right amount of light for my late night work sessions!
Unexpected color temperature
